It's summer!!! Now that you're on vacation and have some time to yourself, you might like to get a little tattoo!
But… IT'S SUMMER!!
They say tattoos and the beach don't mix, but don't panic
there's no harm in getting a tattoo in the summer, you just have to be more careful!
The 3 golden rules are as follows:
- Avoid immersing the tattooed area, whether it be bath / pool / sea / ocean / lake / spa… because these are breeding grounds for microbes which promote infections and prolonged immersion could cause the ink to bleed under the skin (which means that the ink “spreads” and forms a kind of bruise) if the tattoo is not sufficiently healed.
You'll soon realize that swimming isn't a good idea when you plunge into the salt water and it stings!
Tip: if the tattoo is on your arm, take a dip with your arm raised in the water and hold a cocktail to look relaxed. Or use waterproof bandages sold in pharmacies. - Don't roll around in the sand! It's simply filthy… If you have come into contact with sand, be sure to clean the tattoo to avoid infections.
Tip: Don't roll around in the sand, I said! - Do not expose the tattoo to direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Don't try the monoi oil lizard look; it's not good for your skin in general, and especially not on a fresh tattoo It's going to burn his mother! Until the tattoo has healed (until it has finished scabbing), it should not be exposed to the sun; it must be covered with a cloth.
Once healed, to protect the tattoo and keep it looking beautiful for a long time, simply apply sunscreen with an SPF of 50 every time you are exposed to the sun for an extended period. Your skin will thank you when you're old.
Tip: Keep cool. Or use UV-resistant bandages sold in pharmacies.
