Color tattoos

So, as usual it depends on the people, however, it's important to know that colored ink is sometimes thicker, and you need to go over the same area more slowly to work the pigments under the skin. As a result, going over the same area repeatedly can end up stinging a little more.
And the color is applied after the black, so we go over the same areas where the skin has already been treated, so… it is more painful, yes.

So it depends on the quality of the ink used and the method of pricking. The higher the quality of the ink, the better the color will last. And also note that it's your responsibility; once the tattoo is done, you must take care of it until it's completely healed!

So no, infections are caused by poor-quality inks, improperly sterilized equipment, or inadequate aftercare. Colored inks have stronger pigments (especially red) that are sometimes not tolerated by your skin, but this cannot be known until it has been tested. This can cause allergies, but it is VERY rare. The new inks that meet European REACH standards (essentially made up of mineral pigments) were created to avoid this kind of problem.

So let's all calm down... Just because you see something on Instagram doesn't mean it's cool, that it works, or that it's OK from a health perspective! Always inquire about the quality of the ink, especially when it's new and trendy!

Yes. Colored inks are more expensive to buy than the more traditional black ink (because their composition is more complex), so this is reflected in the selling price of the tattoo. Therefore, yes, a colored tattoo will be more expensive than the same tattoo in black.
