Getting a tattoo in summer: yes!

Getting a tattoo in summer: yes!

As every year in May, it’s the season of:
“I’m going to wait until the nice weather is over to get tattooed.”

This sentence is driving me crazy…

So it’s time for a clarification:
o Don’t make me believe you’re on holiday, with your feet in the sand and in the water from May to October.
(otherwise I’m just jealous).
o I do not want to hear you say: I’m sick of this bad weather… where is summer? between May and October.
o Do not come back showing off your “souvenir tattoo” done on a beach in Bali in front of me…
o And most importantly, answer my question: what do you do in countries with 300 days of sunshine per year? Do people not get tattooed? OF COURSE THEY DO!

Getting tattooed in summer is great because:
1. The tattoo breathes better and is more exposed to open air (lighter/looser/shorter clothing).
2. Skin is less dry than in winter, and humidity levels are better for the skin.
3. Your mood is better and there are fewer circulating illnesses, so your immune system is in better condition.
All of this promotes better healing!

This does not mean you can do anything you want, of course. There are certain rules to follow after getting a tattoo:
o see post-tattoo care
